UOIT-Durham College Campus

The new campus for the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) was designed with the objective of creating a state-of-the-art facility that represents the pinnacle of environmental sustainability. A key component of the campus development is the creation of an innovative system designed to manage stormwater discharged from parking lots, roof tops and impervious areas through an array of biofilters, wetlands, infiltration systems and ponds. The system was designed to integrate with the aesthetic character of the campus and to complement the function of the open space system.
