Schollen & Company Inc. was retained by Edilcan Developments to design a multi-phase residential development in Toronto. The project was constructed in three phases which framed a large urban open space plaza. The plaza was designed in the tradition of many European courtyards and combined both pedestrian and vehicular access. The space was designed as a woonerf and is animated with raised planters, pergola structures that enclose the central space and site furnishings. The first two phases of the project included an extensive rooftop amenity space that combined hardscape use areas, extensive and intensive green roof and artificial turf.
