The Avenue

Schollen & Company Inc. were retained by Camrost Development to create the landscape associated with this high-end residential condominium at the southwest corner of Avenue Road and St. Clair Avenue in downtown Toronto.  The project offered the opportunity to create a vibrant, elegant and beautiful interior motor court. One of the design challenges for this project was to mitigate the visual intrusion posed by neighbouring buildings that overlook to courtyard. Raised walls and decorative wood fencing serve as a backdrop for the courtyard and draw your eye to the fountain which serves as the focal point of the space. Limestone and granite cobbles were relied on to visually connect the space to the architecture.
