The Black Creek neighbourhood encompasses a range of land use types but is dominated by high-rise residential towers.
This project was aimed at enhancing the sustainability of this community. Key objectives included incorporating urban agriculture to address food security concerns, increased access to recreational amenities and integration of stormwater management initiatives to address chronic flooding issues.
Schollen & Company Inc. was retained by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to generate the SNAP for the Black Creek Community, as well as to prepare 3D renderings of the proposed bioremediation initiatives to enhance the neighborhood. The visualizations are part of the TRCA’s efforts to inspire community involvement in the implementation of the overall SNAP initiative.
